The Bristle Woods

This is the walk through for the Bristle Woods, the inner section hidden beneath the Mousoleum. However, it is also one of the places where the breeds give high amounts of gold and points!

Before we get started, we should do a quick recap:-
  • You've completed the Furoma region and caught plenty of breeds. I bet by now you're getting tired of them, aren't ya?
  • You've caught a Master of the Dojo and obtained an Onyx Stone.
If you've haven't done all these, you'd better read the Furoma section. If you have, we'd better get started!

Requirements:-
Before you can access the Bristle Woods region, you'll need to go back to the Bazaar. Yes, I said the Bazaar if you didn't hear me.

Here in the Bazaar, were gonna fix your map. No, were not gonna fix that Furoma map again. This time, hand over your Tattered Mousoleum Map to the Cartographer. However, instead of paying 90,000 gold and waiting for 24 hours, this time it costs 160,000 gold and it takes 5 days to fix it, which means you cannot access Mousoleum for 5 days.

Here are a few options on how to spend your time for the next five days:-
  • Go to the Laboratory and farm for more Radioactive Blue potions. You're gonna need plenty of these potions on the next location you're hunting.
  • You can head to the Great Gnarled Tree and check out the other breeds in the Whisker Woods region...
There's also another problem... in this new location, you're gonna need at least 317,000 gold. Unfortunately, due to your Mousoleum Map in fixing, you're unable to access the Mousoleum, which worsens the pain.

However, once you have collected your Repaired Mousoleum Map and have saved up to 317,000 gold, were heading to the Catacombs.

The Catacombs

Weapons for the Catacombs
Here in the Catacombs, you'll encounter most breeds from the Mousoleum. There are also other breeds here known as the Forgotten Mice. The additional breeds here means that your Sinister Portal is useless. To catch them, we'll need an Arcane weapon.

The Obelisk of Slumber
Obelisk of Slumber (Arcane)
Power: 2,100, Power Bonus: -, Attraction Bonus: 10%, Luck: -, Cheese Effect: Extremely Fresh
Here in the Catacombs, the mice here are weak to Arcane traps. Head to the trapsmith and quickly buy that Obelisk of Slumber with 316,350 gold. The power is quite a decent 2,100 but a high attraction and a Very Fresh Cheese Effect.

For the base, arm the Explosive or the Bamboozler if you managed to get it. The Power Bonus from the Explosive Base is more worth than the Dehydration's measly 4 luck...

First of all you're here for a few goals:-
  1. You're gonna have to save about 635,000 gold! That's a lot of amount if you ask me. However, keep in mind that everything happens for a good cause.
  2. You're gonna collect Scrap Metal, at least 12 to be exact. Only the Scavenger and Terror Knight mice will drop it. Fortunately, the Terror Knights have a chance of dropping 2 Scrap Metals sometimes. Unfortunately, both of them are not a very common sight and it's not a guarantee 100% drop.
  3. Get the Keeper's Candle from the Keeper Mouse. This will be your map to access the other parts of Bristle Woods.
You also might be introduced to two new potions that can be found here as loot, the Corrupted RB Potion and the Ancient Potion.
  • The Corrupted Radioactive Blue Potion makes lesser RB Cheese per potion but at a higher price, use them if you're low on bait...
  •  Just ignore the Ancient Potions, we'll talk about it later. Just save them for later...
The Obelisk of Incineration
You might find in the General Store a wide array of stuff! You too might see a blueprint called the Obelisk of Incineration Blueprints and it just costs about 45k! But, what is this so-called Obelisk of Incineration and how do we craft it?? Let's take a look...

Recipe:-
1x Obelisk of Incineration Blueprints + 1x Coal + 2x Scrap Metal + 1x Obelisk Parts + 3x Splintered Wood

The Obelisk parts are obtained by smashing your Slumber. Add them all up and you get the trap. The Obelisk of Incineration or OoI is, like the portals, is an alternative  weapon in the Catacombs. The Incineration is obviously a stronger trap than the Slumber.

Obelisk of Incineration (Arcane)
Power: 2,150, Power Bonus: 10%, Attraction Bonus: -, Luck: 1, Cheese Effect: Insanely Stale
Craft it if you think you have enough Scrap Metal and gold to buy the blueprints. It is up to you to decide it's worth. With just an additional 50 power and 1 luck, it just makes a difference you'll barely notice. If you plan to collect more gold, craft this weapon. If you plan on getting more items, skip it! You'd better skip this though, you should save the gold and items for your next trap.

Crafting the ACRoNYM
So, brave hunter, you've finally braved the Catacombs and resisted millions of redboxes. However, you've collected 635,000 gold and 12 Scrap Metal! Finally, you're gonna craft the long-awaited Arcane Capturing Rod of Never Yielding Mystery aka the ACRoNYM!

Recipe:-
1x Mysterious Blueprints + 12x Scrap Metal + 1x Obelisk Parts + 1x Onyx Stone + 3x Magic Essence

For those who still don't know how to get Obelisk parts, smash your Slumber or Incineration. The Onyx Stone is dropped by the Master of the Dojo in Pinnacle Chamber for those who have forgotten...

The blueprints are found in the General Store for those who didn't noticed and costs about 600,000 gold. So, you'd better save up.

The tricky part here is to get the 3 Magic Essence, which can only be obtained by smashing SB+. Here are a few options:-
  • One of the main options is to buy SB+ in the Marketplace. They won't come cheap, but at least you'll have a few pieces to spare.
  • Another option is to Donate. Donation is also a good way to get SB+. Buy a few pieces of SB+ and with that package comes a Lucky Golden Shield, which gives you +7 luck!
  • The third option is to take part in Events and Competitions in the Forums. The Forums hosts plenty of competitions which will give prizes worth plenty of SB+ and very good amounts of gold!
If you've managed to get all the ingredients, then what are you waiting for??

ACRoNYM (Arcane)
Power: 3,800, Power Bonus: 12%, Attraction Bonus: -, Luck: 18, Cheese Effect: Insanely Stale
Congratulations! Crafting the Arcane Capturing Rod of Never Yielding Mystery or ACRoNYM means that you've crafted the most powerful Arcane trap in the game! Boasting it's strength with 3,800 power and an incredible 18 luck, the Catacombs should be a laughing stock. With this trap, your profits will start skyrocketing, so try to farm as much gold as possible.

However, with the ACRoNYM comes an Insanely Stale Cheese Effect. So, it's good to arm the Dehydration Base now.

With the ACRoNYM, you'll be able to get that Keeper Mouse which drops the Keeper's Candle! With this, you'll be able to access the rest of the Bristle Woods region...

The Forbidden Grove
Here in the Forbidden Grove, the mice here give off as much gold as most of the mice at the Catacombs. Here, you'll find more Golems and a few other new breeds which give off a good amount of gold.

The Forbidden Grove has a 20 hour cycle. For 16 hours, the Forbidden Grove will be open and you'll be able to travel there. After 16 hours, the Realm Ripper mouse will appear and catching it will send you to the Acolyte Realm. For 4 hours, the Forbidden Grove will be closed and cannot be travelled to.

Here in the Forbidden Grove, well need another type of bait. Hopefully you've been saving up those Stale Cheese, because were going to need them!

Ancient Cheese
Here in the Forbidden Grove, the mice are especially attracted to Ancient Cheese. Remember those potions that you keep on getting in the Catacombs?? However, there are a few options on how to get Ancient Cheese...

Crafting
One of the most cheapest way to obtain Ancient Cheese. Remember those stale cheese you used to keep on collecting?? You're gonna use them to craft Ancient Cheese! Fortunately, the recipe is a simple one, good for you!

3x Stale Cheese + 6x Ionized Salt
= 3 pieces of Ancient

3x Stale Cheese + 6x Ionized Salt + 3x Magic Essence

= 6 pieces of Ancient

Out of Ionized Salt? Head to the Bazaar and stock up on them. Don't worry about cash, the ACRoNYMs will settle all your financial problems...

If you've ran out of Stale Cheese, here are some tips for you:-
  1. Stale farming. Go somewhere and hunt for a while like the Mousoleum with some useless bait like cheddar and arm your stalest setup, which is by now the ACRoNYM + the Explosive Base.
  2. Hunt normally. Every once in a while, you're guaranteed to get some stale cheese. Hunt somewhere like the Laboratory and arm your Swiss with ACRoNYM.
  3. Use potions. This is probably the fastest way to get Ancients. However, do note that each piece costs 2,100 gold apiece, which makes it way more expensive than regular Stale farming.
  4. Free Gifts. You can always request your friends to send you 5 pieces of Stale Cheese in the Free Gifts section. This helps strengthen bonds and also gives you more stale cheese.
If you've think you've stocked up enough Ancient, then we'd better sit down cause were gonna need to collect a special loot known as Runes!

" Rune- farming "
Fortunately for you, many of the mice here drop Runes. Known mice are the Golems, Gate GuardiansSorcerers and the loot-greedy Scavengers.  To those lucky hunters, the Scavengers have been known to drop up to 8 runes! Unfortunately, they are not dropped in the Catacombs so no luck guys... just arm your luckiest setup, the ACRoNYM + Dehy and we'll sit here for a while...

So, the timer bar is decreasing until its times up. Realm Rippers will start to appear and catching it will transport you to the Acolyte Realm!

The Acolyte Realm
Unlike any other locations, the Acolyte Realm cannot be instantly traveled to. The only way is to wait for the Forbidden Grove to close and when the Realm Ripper mouse appears. Upon catching one, you'll be transported to the Acolyte Realm.

Don't expect to get much Runes from here though, only the Sorcerers drops it. However, you're here for one reason: The Acolyte Mouse

The Acolyte Mouse
The main reason you're here is to have an encounter with the boss of the Forgotten Mice: The Acolyte Mouse!

But we'd better introduce you to a new bait, the Runic Cheese:-

Runic Cheese (1 piece)=1x Stale Cheese + 3x Ionized Salt

Runic Cheese (2 pieces)=1x Stale Cheese + 3x Ionized Salt + 1x Magic Essence

Quite an expensive bait, costing about 1,030 gold apiece.

Arming Runic will not just attract the Acolyte, it'll attract two new undead mice who crave for Runic! Both, the Lich and Wight give off quite a good amount on both gold and points!

Anyway, if you're gonna nail the Acolyte with the ACRoNYM, think again. The Acolyte is the only mouse in the Forgotten gang that resists the ACRoNYM.. So, if you're gonna aim for it with this trap, arm your luckiest setup!

However, there are rumours that there is a trap which was built long ago in the far east. And guess what?? This trap is capable of bringing the Acolyte down to it's knees! If you're ready, we'll be heading there soon!

Returning with the Ancient Box
By now, to those who have got the Ancient Box, you're ready to hunt the Acolyte.

Before we start hunting, there'll be two option on how to obtain Runic Cheese:-
  • The first option is crafting. This is for those hunters who want to earn profit while hunting for the Acolyte. However, this strategy might take a while since Runes are not a common drop in the Forbidden Grove.
  • Another alternative is using Runic potions which is only available to Heroes and above. To those who have hunted for the Ancient Box are bound to have a few bottles of this potion. This option is for those hunters who are trying to get as much Runic as possible and ignoring profit. In order to convert to Runic, one must use Gouda cheese. However, converting costs of 2,000 gold apiece is no cheap task.
The Conclusion? Use potions. Yes, 2,000 gold apiece isn't cheap. However, do note that were not here for profit and were only here for the Acolyte Mouse. Once you've got it, you can take your time to earn back the gold...

Arm the Ancient Box with your most powerful base, add charms if you're that desperate for one and were ready!

However, even with the Ancient Box, the Acolyte is still able to take it's stand! But it'll fall sooner than the time taken for the ACRoNYM to. Yes, the Ancient Box might not be effective against many mice in the Realm, but you're here only for one mouse: The Acolyte!

If you finally caught one, congratulations! You too might also notice it drops a certain loot called a
" Mysterious Box ". Inside, you'll find an important loot known as a Frozen Scroll. We'll talk about that later. You too will also find another mysterious loot inside there, be it gold, points or a few Magic Essence. Just hope you enjoy what's inside that box!
