Jungle Trekking in the Whisker Woods

This region is actually an alternative path besides the Mountain to the Burroughs. Although I do recommend you take the Mountain path. Anyway, if you choose to hunt here, we should do a recap:-
  1. You bought the Swiss Army Mouse Trap (SAMT).
  2. You bought the Explosive Base.
  3. You should be using Swiss Cheese now. If you're still using Marble, switch now!
  4. You've got the Calm Clearing Map Piece. If you don't have it, you can't access the Calm Clearing. Granites at Harbour will drop it just to remind you...
Now, were off to the Calm Clearing

Calm Clearing

So, you've chose to stray away and come here eh? That's pretty brave of you. Anyway, this place boats plenty of  new breeds and they all have slightly higher gold and points. You'll also meet the Foxy and Eagle Owl mice, which both give off a great amount of gold and points. Just don't complain if you don't see them much. Other than that you're here to get yourself another Map Piece.

Gnarled Tree Map Piece
This could actually be quite tricky as you can see, the map piece is dropped only by the Cyclops Mouse. I called it a tricky problem because this guy is both hard to attract and hard to catch, even for your Swiss Army. So, the option here is to sit down and be patient. If you finally, got one, the rewards are well-paid.

Dehydration Base
You should also be aware that Treant drop a certain loot called Splintered Wood. These pieces of sticks are needed to craft a new base called the Dehydration Base. If you got at least 4 Splintered Wood, good. Got the items I asked you to buy from the Harbour General Store? Good. Then we'll craft it now!!

Recipe:-
  • 213x Salt
  • 1x Dehydration Base Blueprints
  • 4x Splintered Wood
Just add them all together and there you go! Your first crafted base! If you're getting tired of all the stale cheese with the Explosive, then arm this base! It's got an Insanely Fresh Cheese Effect and has a slightly powerful 4 luck! It's quite impressive really, whether or not to arm it is your choice.

Okay, you don't really have to get this mouse. It just looks good as a collection. If u wish to catch it, you should read this section. The Cherry is a relatively easy mouse to catch, the only problem is acquiring the bait. Cherry mice are only attracted to Cherry Cheese, which can be obtained from Cherry Potions. This is quite a problem, as only the Cyclops and Eagle Owls drop them as they themselves are a rare sight at Calm Clearing. Another problem is that it can only convert Brie cheese and costs 500 gold a piece. Yikes! Even with that, the Cherry mouse is still an uncommon sighting. If you manage to get it, good for you. If you don't, you can always come back to get revenge!

If you're bored out, you can always hunt at the Mountain's path and get that Ninja till you reach Master! If you are currently one, were off the next location in the Whisker Woods.

The Great Gnarled Tree

Welcome to the Great Gnarled Tree, the more tougher side of Whisker Woods. Here, the mice will contribute more points and slightly more gold. You'll find more indigenous breeds of Whisker Woods and a few of the same breeds at Calm Clearing. Were here for a few things, but first things first!

Buying a new trap
In the Great Gnarled Tree, most of the breeds are weaker to tactical, which means we'll need a  new trap. As you noticed that the only trap available is the Venus Mouse Trap. There is one problem, how are you gonna purchase it?? I bet most of you still don't have the 300,000 gold required to buy  this trap and many of you still don't have the required points which is about 490,500. So, how are you gonna save up all that gold and points??

There is only one option, head get the Ninja Mouse from the Mountain and head to the Burroughs. There, you can save all the gold you need in Mousoleum. You'll also be able upgrade your trap into the Mutated Venus Mouse Trap ( MVMT). That way, you'll have yourself a better trap....

P.S. The NVMRC Force field  works well here too, just not as good as MVMT. If you have the NVMRC, use it. If you don't, head to the Burroughs...

Other than that, were here for another map piece...

The Map of the Lagoon
This Map Piece is actually called " Map of the Lagoon ". It is dropped by the Fairy Mouse. Don't expect to see much of it either and it's also a difficult guy... it's a Tactical type, so use your Venus Mouse Trap or whatever Tactical trap you have.

Gnarled Potions
You'll also notice that some of the breeds here drops Gnarled Potions. The Gnarled Potions converts Brie into Gnarled Cheese, which will be used in the Lagoon. It's good idea to stock up on Gnarled Potions.

If you're Grandmaster and above, off to the Lagoon!

The Lagoon

As the description says, you're gonna need a special bait to attract the rare mice that resides in the Lagoon. You're gonna need Gnarled Cheese! So stock up on Brie. This bait is also quite expensive, costing about 600 gold per piece.

On my opinion, you should really get the Ambush trap at Furoma first before coming here. This place is full of tough mice and your measly Mutated Venus Mouse Trap isn't enough to help you survive, and no NVMRCs, they are weaker than the MVMT and will prove less useful...

The Lagoon hosts many breeds that are only weak to different types and very tough to catch. To make this easier, I split them into different categories...

The Hydra
The Hydra is the main objective of why you're here at the Lagoon. However, instead of getting another boring old map piece, were aiming for a Blueprint drop. The Hydra is a Hydro type mouse. Unfortunately, we don't have a Hydro type trap yet. So, were gonna have to make do with Physical and Tactical traps.

If you've ventured into the Furoma region, you might have obtained the Ambush trap, if not, go there and get it. The Ambush is currently our most powerful Tactical weapon and you'll have to make do with it to get the Hydra.

So far, there is only one weapon that is able to outclass the Ambush in sheer power, and that is the Digby DrillBot. If you've ventured to the Burroughs region, you should've discovered this trap. It might be very expensive, costing about 405,000 gold. Though not many hunters have 400k to buy it.

On my opinion, just use the Ambush. If you're filthy rich and impatient, go get the Drillbot.

Arm the Dehydration or any base with a higher luck. You'll need lots of luck getting those blueprints.

If you've finally got the blueprints, congratulations! You've completed part of your progress to Rodentia!

Trolls, Goblins and Harpies
These mice are only weak against Shadow type traps, and affected normally by others. Unfortunately, your only shadow weapon is the Sinister Portal. What to do? If you're an experienced legendary hunter, you can arm your ACRoNYM and they'll fall quickly. But like I said, they are affected normally by other types, including Arcane! Don't worry about them though, you might encounter these mice while catching that Hydra...

The Silth
The silth was once a really unnecessary mouse. However, the devs make sure that you needed at least one if you're a baron!

You might have heard of the Curious Chemist mouse before. However, this mouse can only be attracted if you use Gnarled Cheese at the Great Gnarled tree. the good thing is that this mouse comes frequently and is an easy catch. If you got one, you can see that it drops the Wicked Gnarly Potion, which is used to convert brie into Wicked Gnarly Cheese. However, it is recommended that you come back for the Silth later since you'll be able to convert more cheese, but lesser than Gnarled. Anyway, start stockpiling those potions!

So, you've think you've collected enough potions? Now, let's go to the Lagoon!

Now then, the Silth is even tougher than the Hydra, and it is also a very rare mouse. This causes quite a few problems as many people gets overpowered by the Silth. The only thing effective against it are pure Hydro traps! Anything is just plain Near- Impossible.. just arm your strongest Hydro weapon and base and wish for a successful catch....

If you got it, congratulations. The Silth is worth a decent amount of gold and points. It also ocassionally drops some interesting loots.
