The Burroughs

Congratulations! You've finally made it this far and have successfully ranked up to Master! Before we get started, let's do a quick recap:-
  • You've crafted the Dehydration Base ( Dehy). If you still haven't crafted it, craft it now.
  • You've got yourself a Burroughs Laboratory Map Piece
  • You've save yourself about 140,000 gold.
Now then, to the Lab!

The Laboratory

Welcome to the lab, where mice get mutated and scamper at will. It might seem like a pretty nice location but this place actually bores me to death! The mice here are mostly steel, granite and bionic with a few mutated mice running around. Oh yeah, don't forget a Monster mouse lurking about in the Laboratory...

Bait
Since were in lab, it's better to stock up plenty of bait to avoid constant travels. Now were quite far from Meadow, travel costs are quite expensive.
( For those who wants a cheaper route, you can always check the Travel Planner. )

In the lab, there are a few options as bait:-
  1. Swiss does well in the lab and has quite a good rate of attraction and a good profit.
  2. Brie also does well in the lab, but it is recommended that you save them to convert Radioactive Blue potions. Brie is also the bait able to attract the Burglar mouse, which gives quite a good amount of gold.
Collecting Potions
One of the main objectives here is to collect items known as Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions. These potions are very important and you'll be using them soon. Majority of the mice will drop it. The mice too can drop up to 6 potions per catch, though I doubt it happening. To get faster loot, arm your Swiss Army with the Dehydration base since drop rates increases with higher luck. Don't worry about uncommon drops. Everyone experiences this dry spells before...

Another Map Piece....
Another mission in the Lab is to get another map piece called Key to the Town of Digby. Unfortunately, this map or key is only dropped by a Dwarf and they're quite rare. Like the ninja you've caught at Mountain, this requires great patience. If you do succeed getting it, feel free to head to the Town of Digby or collect more potions at the Lab.

Meanwhile, try to collect more gold. 200,000 at least...

The Town of Digby

Welcome to Digby, there's not much to do here. However, you're here for a special mission. You should know it by now that you're only here for another map, but just not any map, you're here for the Tattered Mousoleum Map! You also might find a trapsmith and cheese shoppe here. Just ignore them. If you're out of bait, it's better to go back Gnawnia to buy them than wasting your gold on their Cheese Shoppe.

Getting the Tattered Mousoleum Map Piece
This time, the map is dropped by an undead breed of mice in Digby, the Zombie mouse! This might take some time since it's rare and quite tough a mouse to catch, even for your Swiss Army. In other words, be patient...

If you've finally managed to get hold of a Tattered Mousoleum Map, it's time to get ready for the Mousoleum. Or you can skip it if you want to.

The Shredded Furoma Map Piece
Yes, the Shredded Furoma Map can also be obtained here in Digby. The Mole mouse should be the one to drop you the map. However, I do not recommend you to choose this method of getting the map piece. It is because the Mole itself is a rare breed in Digby and it's not a 100% guarantee of it dropping the map. So, you'll have to be really, really lucky if you want to use this method, it is not a good idea to chicken out of the Mousoleum..

Requirements for Mousoleum
Weapons
As you noticed, the only Trapsmith available in the Burroughs region is at Town of Digby. No, were not forking over our gold to buy any NVMRC or Deathbot or whatsoever. Instead, were here shopping for a trap with a Shadow power type.

In Digby, we are introduced to two shadow traps, the Sinister and Ambrosial Portals. You'll also notice another Shadow trap known as the Bottomless Grave. Skip it! Not many Masters can afford 600,000 gold. That leaves us with the portals. Let's spot the diffrence. Shall we??

Sinister Portal (Shadow)
Cost: 140,600 gold
Power: 1,025, Power Bonus: 5%, Attraction Bonus: -, Luck: 0, Cheese Effect: Stale

Ambrosial Portal (Shadow)
Cost: 140,000 gold
Power: 1,025, Power Bonus: -, Attraction Bonus: 5%, Luck: 0, Cheese Effect: Fresh

Compared with each other, the Sinister gains more power while the Ambrosial trades it for Attraction. Both portals seem identical. However, the Sinister gains the upper hand with it's 5% power bonus.

Conclusion? Buy the Sinister. Seriously, the Ambrosial is pathetic. You don't really need the 5% attraction of the Ambrosial since Radioactive Blue has a very good attraction rate there. Other than that, you'll also need at least 20 stale Radioactive Blue when you reach Grandmaster and the Ambrosial isn't much help with it's fresh cheese effect. The Sinister might cost a little bit more, but the extra power of the portal will get you through the Mousoleum.

Bait
Remember those potions that you should be collecting at the lab? If you have forgotten about them, they are called Radioactive Blue Cheese Potions or RB potions. You're gonna convert them into Radioactive Blue Cheese. You should really stock up on those potions, let's say about 30 - 40. One potion allows you to convert 10 Brie cheese, while those who use SB+ to convert will receive 30 cheese per potion.

As you saw them in your inventory, there are a few ways to convert those potions:-
  1. Brie Using brie to convert RB potions is the most sufficient way to get Rb cheese. However, the cheapest Brie costs 200 gold apiece and another 300 gold to convert them, making it 500 gold apiece. Don't worry about the expensive cost though, the mice at Mousoleum will help you earn back what you lost.
  2. Super| Brie+ This might not be such a good option, even though conversion to RB cheese is free. You can always buy them at the Marketplace or Donate. With enabling 30 pieces per potion, it means that you plan to get more bait faster. However, the prices of SB+ at the marketplace is about 5,000 - 6,000 gold, which is very expensive. Mousoleum's breeds might not be able to cover up the costs and you might not make that much profits.
Conclusion? Use Brie. The costs of conversion might be quite expensive, but like I told you, the mice at Mousoleum will cover up those costs quick and fine and you can make much more profits compared to using SB+. Yes, one potion only converts 10 pieces of Brie but you can earn more profits using it. Potions too may be an uncommon drop, the devs have purposely put it that way. In other words, be patient....

Now, with your new trap and bait armed, it's time to arm your Explosive Base! The 4 luck of the Dehydration isn't enough for you to stay put at the Mousoleum. Now, for the moment we've been waiting for! Yes, were finally heading to the Mousoleum!!

The Mousoleum

In the Mousoleum, you'll encounter tons of new breeds of mice. However, do not underestimate these mice. Even with the Sinister Portal, the mice here are gonna redbox you silly and you might be quite disappointed with the catch rates.

However, you'll also see that the mice here are worth much more than the average mice at Gnawnia. Keep on hunting and your profits will start rising up like crazy. Even with the constant redboxes, you'll be making about quite a profit here.

The Lycan
Your main objective here is to get one of the toughest mouse in the Mousoleum known as the Lycan. Other than constantly stealing your bait, the Lycan is also quite an uncommon mouse, so you might be sitting down for a while waiting for this guy.

However there is another way of getting a Lycan, a bait known as Moon Cheese
Recipe:-
1x Meteorite Piece + 2x Magic Essence + 3x Curds and Whey
= 1 Moon Cheese

If you're hunting at Digby with Swiss/Brie, you might notice that some of them drop Meteorite Pieces. Magic Essence can be obtained by smashing Super|Brie+ and the Curds and Whey can be bought at Digby's General Store.
However, I recommend you not to use your Super|Brie+ crafting this bait because as I said, Radioactive Blue has a high attraction rate in Mousoleum which means sooner or later the Lycan would come to your trap. So, I wouldn't recommmend the crafting of this bait, as it is kind of a waste of precious Super|Brie. Sooner or later you're gonna catch the Lycan.

For those who have not, just be patient. For those who have, it'll drop a loot known as the Shredded Furoma Map Piece. This is important as it'll be your next destination which is called the Furoma Region.
Once you've caught your Lycan, just continue hunting in the Mousoleum. You'll be needing quite an amount of gold for the next region, about 500,000. In the Mousoleum, that amount shouldn't be a problem. If you've ran out of potions, go farm more in the Laboratory.
